Two Arrested After Allegedly Leading Deputies on Pursuit in Stolen Vehicle

STOCKTON, CA  —  San Joaquin County deputies have arrested two people who allegedly led them on a pursuit in a stolen vehicle last week.

According to a press release by the Sheriff’s Office, deputies had attempted to stop a stolen vehicle on the morning of Oct. 2. The driver did not yield and a pursuit began near Hammer Lane and Etna Street in Stockton.

The pursuit ultimately ended in Lodi, in the area of Mills Avenue and Lake Street. From there, two individuals fled the vehicle on foot.

The driver was arrested almost immediately and the passenger was located and arrested a few hours later.

The suspects, identified as Brandon Beatty and Faith Johnson, were arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property, felony evading, felony evading with willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property, felony vandalism, and resisting arrest.
