Defendant in Attack at Blaze Pizza Arraigned on Felony Assault & Hate Crime Charges

ROSEVILLE, Calif. — “The Placer County District Attorney’s Office announced that 18-year-old Igor Dragun, the suspect from the recent attack on Blaze Pizza employees in Roseville, appeared in court for his arraignment on felony assault, hate crime charges and more.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred inside the Blaze Pizza establishment on September 19, 2024, in the City of Roseville. The Roseville Police Department investigated the incident and submitted the case to the Placer County District Attorney’s Office leading to the filing of a felony complaint charging the following crimes:
ASSAULT BY MEANS OF FORCE LIKELY TO PRODUCE GREAT BODILY INJURY
SPEC ALLEG-GREAT BODILY INJURY (Enhancement)
CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT A CRIME
SPEC ALLEGATION – HATE CRIME (Enhancement)
HATE CRIME (Substantive Charge)
The defendant appeared in court and a defense attorney was appointed to represent him. A criminal protective order was issued for the victim, as well as a stay away order from Blaze Pizza. The defendant is being held on $150,000 bail. The next court date will be Oct. 17 at 8:30 a.m in Department 20.”
