Two Arrested for Alleged Vehicle Theft, Conspiracy in Rural Kings County

TULARE COUNTY, CA — Two individuals were recently arrested in connection with the thefts of a quad and trailer from a property in rural Kings County.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, on the afternoon of Friday, Sept. 27, Rural Crimes detectives and an investigator from the District Attorney’s Office responded to the 17000 block of S. 10th Avenue to investigate reports of an in-progress theft of a quad and trailer.
The stolen quad and trailer were equipped with tracking devices, allowing law enforcement to monitor their movements.
Detectives tracked the stolen equipment to the area of N. West Street and W. Cartmill Avenue in Tulare County, where they located a vehicle towing the stolen items. The vehicle was occupied by two individuals.
The driver allegedly began to operate the vehicle unsafely, prompting a traffic stop. Initially, the vehicle failed to yield, leading to a brief pursuit that ended near Highway 99 and W. Cartmill Avenue.
Both suspects were subsequently taken into custody.
The suspects were identified as Issac Ramos and Alexander Gamez, both residents of Bakersfield and currently on probation out of Kern County.
Ramos and Gamez were booked into Kings County jail on suspicion of vehicle theft, conspiracy to commit a crime, and possession of stolen property.
