Del Norte County Authorities Seize Narcotics, Make Arrests During Late September Weekend

The Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office announced the seizure of narcotics and multiple arrests over the course of a weekend in late September.
On September 27, deputies carried out a probation search at a residence on the 300 block of Dillman Road, where they detained Bobby Banks.
During a search of Banks’s residence, deputies reportedly seized 1.8 grams of suspected methamphetamine, over 250 rounds of .22 caliber ammunition, and a disassembled rifle.
Banks was ultimately booked on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, ammunition, and suspected methamphetamine.
The following day, patrol deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Parkway Drive.
The driver, identified as Stephen Barnes, was found to be on parole and subject to search terms. Deputies searched Barnes and reportedly discovered around three grams of suspected methamphetamine, paraphernalia, and a loaded 9mm handgun.
Barnes was ultimately booked at the Del Norte County jail on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, and having a loaded handgun while in possession of narcotics.
