“On October 8, 2024, at 11:05 p.m., PSPD Dispatch was notified of an alarm activation at a business in the 600 block of S. Palm Canyon Drive. The alarm company reported a forced entry into the property, with a suspect observed inside.
During an area check, officers located Duane Blunt, 46, of Indio, and determined he was the suspect in the burglary. During the arrest, Blunt was found in possession of a suspected controlled substance.
Blunt was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio on charges of possession of a suspected controlled substance (H&S 11350(A) – misdemeanor), second-degree burglary (PC 459 – felony), and probation violation (PC 1203.2 – felony). Bail was set at $50,000.”
