Residential Burglary Arrests in Thousand Oaks

By F. Scott Faulkner

Ventura County, CA —

Three men have been arrested for a series of crimes across Thousand Oaks,  including conspiracy.

In a coordinated crackdown on a string of residential burglaries, collaborating Ventura
County Sheriff’s Department agencies,  Thousand Oaks Detective Bureau –
Commercial Residential Burglary Unit and Property Crimes Unit, the East County Patrol
Service and the Ventura County Auto Theft Task Force–have successfully apprehended
three men believed to be responsible for a series of crimes across Thousand Oaks and
surrounding cities.

According to VCSD spokesman Sgt. Sean Taylor, the arrests followed a dramatic
afternoon on October 4, 2024, when deputies responded to “an active residential
burglary” in progress at a local area apartment complex, the third such incident
reported in the neighborhood that day.

Uniformed patrol deputies swiftly established a broad perimeter, leading to the
apprehension of Los Angeles residents Luis Corredor-Fernandez, 29, Diego Gama-
Fernandez, 21, and Sebastian Moreno, 26. The immediately ensuing investigation
indicated that the trio had been “involved” in the day’s burglaries as well as “prior
incidents” in Thousand Oaks earlier in the year.

All three men were transported to Ventura County Jail, where Luis Corredor-Fernandez
was charged with burglary, possession of a controlled substance, and criminal
conspiracy. Diego Gama-Fernandez and Sebastian Moreno were both booked on
charges of burglary and criminal conspiracy. All three suspects remain in custody with
bail set at $50,000 each.
