Two Arrested For Shooting At Parking Enforcement Officer in Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, CA – “On Monday, October 14, 2024, at approximately 11 AM, an unarmed civilian Sacramento County Sheriff’s Parking Enforcement Officer reported being shot at while in her vehicle on the 2000 block of Wyda in Sacramento. She reported that her window had been shot out while completing paperwork inside her vehicle. Fortunately, she was not injured. Deputies immediately responded to the area and learned the suspect vehicle had been cited by this Officer earlier in the morning.
Just before 1 PM, Deputies located the suspect vehicle in a nearby parking lot, with the license plates removed. Detectives identified and arrested 22-year-old Farid Vera and 26-year-old Julian Clavijogarcia as having shot at the Parking Enforcement Officer. Detectives recovered a pellet rifle and a BB gun rifle, which were determined to have been used in the incident. Both Vera and Clavijogarcia were booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail for felony charges and are each being held on $50,000 bail. They are scheduled to appear in court on October 16.”
