14-Year-Old Arrested in Tehama County for Possession of Ghost Gun and High-Capacity Magazine
“On 09/26/2024 at approximately 1854 hours, officers were patrolling the 700 block of Main Street when an officer observed a vehicle driving erratically and also having a mechanical vehicle code violation. At that time, the officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop of the vehicle.
During this traffic stop, the officer received consent from the driver to perform a search of the vehicle. During the search of the vehicle, officers located a loaded handgun that had no serial number and a high-capacity magazine. These handguns are often referred to as “ghost guns.” Through the investigation, it was determined the firearm was possessed by a 14-year-old juvenile.
The juvenile was placed under arrest and booked into Tehama County Juvenile Hall for the following charges:
24610 PC, 25400(a)(1) PC, 29610(a) PC, and 32310(a) PC.”
