Five Arrested in Connection with Bike Shop Burglary in Madera County

Four individuals were arrested in connection with a commercial burglary following a vehicle pursuit from Coarsegold to Madera in late September. Investigators later identified and arrested a fifth suspect.

In a press release, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office identified the suspects as Isaac Antonio Alvarez, Earvwin Mccullar, Manuel Tejeda, and Orlan Doser, all from Fresno. The suspects are accused of stealing bicycles from Pedal Forward Bikes & Adventure Shop in Madera County earlier that day.

Authorities reportedly found the stolen bicycles, worth over $20,000 combined, inside a white van driven by the suspects. Authorities recovered the items and returned them to the business owner.

Investigators reportedly also identified a fifth suspect, known as “Eddie,” as the organizer of the burglary.

Surveillance footage showed him driving a red Lincoln MKX, leading the white van in and out of Oakhurst. The Madera Special Enforcement Team linked the vehicle to Edward Malagon of Fresno.

On October 3, the Madera Narcotics Enforcement Team located the Lincoln MKX parked at a residence on the 5400 block of E. Lane Avenue in Fresno. Around 1 p.m., detectives arrested Malagon without incident and booked him into the Madera County jail on suspicion of burglary and conspiracy.
