Madera County Investigators Arrest Man for Alleged Possession of CSAM
“The Madera County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Bureau received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding internet child pornography activity in Madera County. During their investigation, Detectives identified 36 year old Madera resident Alfredo Lopez as a suspect involved in the uploading and dissemination of Child Sexual Abuse Material.
On October 3, 2024, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Bureau, the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, and Homeland Security Investigations served a search warrant at a property associated with Lopez, located in the 17000 block of Daley Road in Madera County. After a search of electronic devices located at the residence, Detectives arrested Alfredo Lopez for possession of child pornography. He is currently in custody at the Madera County Jail.
The Madera County Sheriff’s Office maintains an active relationship with the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and is committed to relentlessly pursuing offenders who utilize the internet to victimize children.
Sheriff Tyson Pogue states, “I am proud of the swift investigation by our detectives that resulted in this arrest. This operation highlights the critical partnership across law enforcement agencies to combat child exploitation and protect the safety of children within the community.“
All electronic devices associated with Lopez were seized for further examination as part of the ongoing investigation.
