WPD Recovers Stolen Vehicle and Arrests Three Suspects

“Watsonville Police Officers recovered a stolen vehicle early Friday morning on Green Meadow Drive. The car was found parked in front of the registered owner’s residence while the victim was out of town.
During the recovery of the car, Officers noticed suspicious activity inside the home, including signs that someone had broken in through a window. Watsonville Officers, with the assistance of the Santa Cruz Police Department and their K9 unit, made several announcements before entering the home.
After repeated warnings, Officers arrested 33-year-old Erivan Chavez, 48-year-old Hector Martinez Garcia, and 39-year-old Griselda Margarita Sanz. All three suspects were booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail on burglary charges. Chavez is also facing charges of possession of a stolen vehicle and two outstanding felony warrants.”
