Ongoing Investigation After Woman Reportedly Shot Multiple Times in Mount Shasta
MOUNT SHASTA, CA – Authorities in Siskiyou County are investigating after a woman was reportedly shot multiple times in Mount Shasta.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a shooting on the night of Wednesday, Oct. 23, in the Mount Shasta Vista subdivision.
Deputies and California Highway Patrol officers arrived at the scene after receiving a report at approximately 9 p.m. that a 36-year-old woman had been shot multiple times following a confrontation with a group of armed individuals.
Law enforcement officers administered emergency medical aid until paramedics arrived, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Witnesses reportedly described the suspect as an Asian male with a short, stocky build, wearing glasses and a grey beanie.
Two vehicles linked to the incident were reported fleeing the area — a newer Ford pickup, possibly a Raptor model, and an older SUV resembling a Honda Pilot.
