Authorities in Sierra County are calling on the public for help in identifying three suspects wanted in connection with an assault and battery case.

On the afternoon of September 4, the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a fight having broken out at Carlton Campground in western Sierra County.

Three individuals, described as white males in their late teens to early twenties, had allegedly approached campers at the campground and a verbal altercation ensued, eventually escalating to violence, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The three suspects were reportedly riding dirt bikes and were also seen with a white pickup.

The suspects were further described, respectively, as follows: over six feet tall with a neck tattoo, wearing blue-and-white swim trunks with stars, and possibly named “Cayden”; approximately six feet tall with dark hair; and having short blonde hair, wearing a thin jacket with a flower emblem, and possibly named “Jack.”

Their vehicle was described as a ’90s-model Ford or Chevy pickup with coach doors.

The suspects reportedly also stated that they were affiliated with a local bike group, with one having mentioned that they were from the Concord area, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The U.S. Forest Service reportedly also had contact with the same suspects two weeks prior regarding an illegal campfire, but had not identified them by name.

Anyone with information relevant to the case is encouraged to contact the Sierra County Sheriff’s Office at 530-289-3700.
