Santa Rosa Police Reportedly Arrest S.F. Man for Illegal Weapon Possession

SANTA ROSA, CA  —  Officers with the Santa Rosa Police Department recently arrested a San Francisco man for the alleged possession of stolen license plates and the illegal possession of a firearm.

According to a press release from the Santa Rosa Police Department, officers on the afternoon of Thursday, Nov. 7, contacted the occupant of a vehicle on the 1400 block of Santa Rosa Ave. after finding that the vehicle’s front and rear license plates had both been reported stolen.

Officers reportedly also fund a loaded .45-caliber Desert Eagle semi-automatic handgun in the car, along with suspected methamphetamine and paraphernalia.

The occupant of the vehicle was identified as Michael James Coe, 39, of San Francisco.

Coe was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded firearm in a public place, possession of a controlled substance with a firearm, being a felon in possession of ammunition, and possession of stolen property.
