Investigation Underway in Watsonville Following Daytime Stabbing Incident
“An investigation into a stabbing during broad daylight on Friday is currently underway.
Officers responded to reports of a stabbing in the 100 block of 2nd Street shortly before 12:30 PM, where they found a 24-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds. The man was transported to an out-of-county trauma center and is expected to recover.
While Officers were searching the area, they found the 18-year-old suspect, Emily Garcia, hiding in the backseat of a parked car.
She was immediately taken into custody and later booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail.
Garcia is now facing charges of domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon.”
