CULVER CITY, CA — Police in Culver City are investigating an armed robbery that occurred over the weekend.
According to a department press release, officers responded on the night of Saturday, Nov. 9, to an armed robbery that had occurred earlier that day at around 3 a.m.
Police reportedly believe that the victim had been standing in a parking lot with a friend on the 3800 block of Midway Avenue when they were approached by two unknown individuals.
The first individual allegedly pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at the victim’s chest, while the second individual struck him in the upper back form behind. The suspects then allegedly demanded the victim’s watch, and the victim complied.
Both suspects then reportedly left in a black four-door vehicle with tinted windows on northbound Midway Avenue, then eastbound Venice Boulevard.
The first suspect was reportedly described as a Black male adult between 20-25 years of age, standing between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9 with a thin build, and wearing a black ski mask, white-and-purple jacket, and black pants.
The second suspect was described as a Black male adult between 20-25 with a thin build and similar height as the first suspect, wearing a black ski mask, red jacket, and black pants.
