Corona PD Provides Updated Weekly Activity Report for Residents

“Good Morning, Corona Residents!

We want to keep you informed about the recent activities of your police department. Here’s a summary of the incidents to which our officers responded from Monday, November 4th, 12:01 AM to Sunday, November 10th, 11:59 PM:

Calls for Service: Our officers attended 2,134 incidents, including 104 alarm calls, 27 area checks, 108 disturbance calls, 236 property checks, and 45 welfare checks.

Arrests: We apprehended 64 individuals involved in various offenses during this period.
Incident Highlights:

November 4th, 12:23 AM: An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Fir Street. The driver, Nathan Seegrist (26 years of Corona), was found to be on parole for assault with a deadly weapon. Officers located a stolen firearm inside the vehicle. Seegrist was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm in public, using a false compartment to store a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance while armed with a firearm, possession of stolen property and violating his parole.

November 4th, 11:55 AM: Officer responded to a residential burglary in progress in the 1600 block of Via Modena Way. The suspects fled before the officer arrived, but the license plate to the suspect’s vehicle was obtained. Later that day, the suspect vehicle was located by officers from Murrieta PD, who discovered the three suspects were also involved in a burglary in Temecula. Kevin Parranino (26 years from Hawthorne), Walter Barrara (26 years from Los Angeles), and Christian Rodriguez (22 years from San Bernardino) were arrested for burglary, vandalism, and conspiracy.

November 9th, 7:38 PM: Officers located a stolen vehicle traveling in the 1100 block of W. Sixth Street. Officers located an unserialized firearm inside the vehicle. The driver, Paul Cortes (45 years from Los Angeles), was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, carrying a loaded firearm in public, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
