SACRAMENTO, CA — It took law enforcement officials four days, but they located and arrested a suspected murderer.
Hason Plater, 26, of Sacramento, was arrested Nov. 19 and booked on a charge of murder.
It was around 11:45 p.m. Nov. 15, when Sacramento County Sheriff’s Central Patrol Deputies responded to an apartment on the 3900 block of 48th Avenue regarding a multi-round ShotSpotter (gun activity locater) activation. A witness reported that an adult male appeared to have been shot and was lying down in the parking lot. Deputies arrived on scene moments later and began life-saving first-aid. Unfortunately, the victim (whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin) was pronounced deceased by Sacramento Metro Fire District personnel.

He was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail for PC 187 – Murder, where he remains ineligible for bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on November 21.
