Auburn Man Arrested in Relation to Sunrise Mall Burglary

CITRUS HEIGHTS,  CA  — “Yesterday morning at around 7:30am, officers responded to a burglary alarm from a business located in the Sunrise Mall. On arrival, officers located a broken exterior window and several broken glass jewelry display cases inside the store.

Mall security was able to provide officers with suspect information and a subject matching the description was located leaving the area on foot. As officers contacted the subject, they observed fresh cuts and blood on the subject’s hand, and he was in possession of a large suitcase.

Inside the suitcase officers located over $91,000.00 in stolen jewelry which was taken from the business during the burglary. The stolen items were recovered and returned to the business.

The suspect arrested was a 34-year-old man from Auburn and he was booked into Sacramento County Jail for burglary and possession of burglary tools.”
