Suspect Arrested in Connection with Fatal Shooting in Morgan Hill

MORGAN HILL — Local police have reportedly arrested the primary suspect in a fatal shooting last week.
According to a department media release, officers responded to a shooting early on the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 20, on the 100 block of Tennant Avenue.
At the scene, officers located an adult male victim who had reportedly sustained at least one gunshot wound to the torso.
Despite officers’ efforts to save his life, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Witnesses at the scene directed officers’ attention to an individual walking nearby. This individual was soon identified as the primary suspect in the shooting.
Police identified the individual as Jesus Garcia, 30, of Morgan Hill.
Authorities are investigating the motive and circumstances surrounding the incident, and have confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to the community.
The investigation is ongoing.
