Cotati Police Arrest Owner in Connection with Puppy’s Death

Police in Cotati reportedly arrested an individual in connection with the death of a puppy earlier this month.

In a press release, the Cotati Police Department reported that, in early November, they had begun an investigation into a report of suspected animal abuse. The abuse resulted in the death of an 11-month-old puppy, police said.

Over time, investigators gathered evidence that the puppy had been neglected by its owner for several months before its death.

On November 13, officers arrested the puppy’s owner for alleged animal abuse resulting in death.

The individual, whose name has not been released, was booked at the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility, where they are held on $20,000 bond.
