TCSO Detectives Recover Stolen Equipment Valued at Over $30,000, Arrest Three Suspects

KINGSBURG, CA — “On 11/29/24, TCSO Ag Detectives were notified of a Commercial Burglary at “Nutrius” in Kingsburg, where more than $40,000 in tools and equipment were stolen on Thanksgiving day.
During their investigation, Detectives learned the thieves went to the business on three separate occasions, starting at 4 a.m. and finally completing their day at 10 p.m.
Detectives were able to identify a vehicle involved in the burglary from the business’s surveillance video. Ag Crime Detectives identified the owner of the truck and its location. With help from Reedley Police, the truck was stopped in Reedley and the driver was detained.
About $5,000 worth of the stolen tools were found inside the truck. Through the investigation, Detectives were able to identify the other two suspects seen in surveillance video at Nutrius. Those suspects were tracked down and arrested during the service of a search warrant. Also located during the search warrant were approximately $25,000 worth of tools and equipment, as well as the second vehicle involved in the burglary with a trunk full of stolen tools.
31-year-old John Rene Perez, 47-year-old Hector Barr and 32-year-old Miguel Guerrero, all of Reedley, were booked into jail on charges of Commercial Burglary, Grand Theft, Possession of Stolen Property and Conspiracy. Guerrero was also charged with being out on bail for grand theft and committing another felony crime. About $30,000 in tools and equipment were returned to Nutrius.
