MARIN CITY— Marin County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested a construction worker
implicated in armed robberies. Arcturus Wiggins, 48, of Sausalito, was apprehended near a
grocery store on Donahue Street in Marin City.
Detectives identified Wiggins as a suspect in an armed robbery and later an attempted armed
robbery. A clerk at a 7-Eleven convenience store on Shoreline Highway was robbed at
gunpoint in October. The thief fled taking with him more than $500 in cash.
On December 1, an armed man attempted to rob a 7-Eleven store on Redwood Highway.
Detectives determined the same suspect was involved in the armed robbery and the
attempted robbery. In a prepared statement the Marin County Sheriff’s Office said. “Wiggins
was armed with a silver revolver, and wearing similar distinctive clothing like the first robbery.”
On December 3, detectives found Wiggins inside a Starbucks coffeeshop. A perimeter was
set up surrounding a shopping center on Donahue Street. Wiggins was detained across the
street from the Grocery Outlet.
Wiggins was placed under arrest on December 3 at 10:20 a.m. Detectives found a “silver
revolver” inside his vehicle matching the description of the firearm used in robbery and
attempted robbery. He was taken to Marin County Jail, where he remains in custody in lieu of
$75,000 bond. Wiggins was booked on charges of robbery, attempted robbery, carrying a concealed weapon and being felon in possession of a firearm.
