Police are reportedly investigating a robbery and shooting that occurred early Saturday morning near Blair Hills Park in Culver City.
In a press release, Culver City police announced that they had begun an investigation after an individual was shot in the leg during a robbery in the early morning hours of Saturday, Dec. 7, on the 5900 block of Wrightcrest Dr.
Responding officers located the victim, whose wound was not life-threatening. The victim was treated at the scene and transported to an area hospital for further care, police said.
Investigators say the victim was parked on the side of the street when they were approached by two suspects, who allegedly opened the driver and passenger side doors and demanded the victim’s bag. One suspect then allegedly shot the victim in the leg.
Police described both suspects as Black male adults between the ages of 18 and 25 and standing approximately 5-foot-9 to 5-f00t-10. The suspects allegedly fled the scene in a black four-door sedan.
