“Over the past two weeks, investigators assigned to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office – Regional Enforcement of All Crimes Team (REACT) made two significant drug seizures in the Sacramento Region.
The first incident resulted in the arrest of 29-year-old Jose Garcia of Bell Gardens (CA), after the seizure of approximately 7 pounds of cocaine. It is estimated the cocaine had a street value of $45,000.
In another unrelated incident, Detectives arrested 24-year-old Pedro Anaya, where Detectives seized approximately 70,000 pressed fentanyl pills and 33 lbs of powdered fentanyl. It is estimated this amount of pure fentanyl could produce over 10.5 million lethal doses, enough to kill most of Northern California.
Drug cartels frequently use unique stamped markings such as the swastika and 187 (the California Penal Code for murder) to traffic, market, and flood our local communities with their lethal poisons.
SSO-REACT is a collaborative effort between the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, the Placer County District Attorney’s Office, the California Highway Patrol, and the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office.”
