Redding police have reportedly arrested two individuals for alleged narcotics sales as part of an ongoing investigation.
According to a press release by the Redding Police Department, Neighborhood Police Unit Officers pulled over a vehicle on Tuesday, Dec. 17, as part of an ongoing investigation and to serve a search warrant.
Officers asked the driver, identified as 47-year-old Joshua Reeves, to exit the vehicle, at which point Reeves allegedly became uncooperative and reached into his jacket. Officers then detained him after a brief struggle, police said.
Officers searched Reeves and reportedly discovered over two ounces of methamphetamine, U.S. currency, and a meth pipe. Officers also contacted a second occupant of the vehicle, identified as 45-year-old Shiloh Hagerman, who was wanted on several outstanding warrants. Hagerman was taken into custody.
Officers later carried out a search Warrant at Reeves’s trailer, where they allegedly found “additional evidence” of narcotics sales. The issued media release did not specify what this evidence was.
Reeves was arrested on suspicion of the possession of a controlled substance for sale, transportation of a controlled substance for sale, and obstruction.
Meanwhile, Hagerman was found to have allegedly been hiding methamphetamine in her bra while in custody at the county jail. She was booked on the outstanding warrants and on a new charge of possession of a controlled substance, police said.
