Deputies from the Camarillo Patrol recently responded to a report of a residential burglary.

According to Ventura County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Det. Schaum Song, the victim reported “their garage
was broken into overnight, resulting in the theft of electric bikes, tools, and a generator.”
Surveillance footage showed the suspect driving a dark-colored Nissan Xterra with one of the
stolen electric bikes on its roof rack.

On December 10, 2024, detectives from the Camarillo Investigations Bureau located the Nissan
Xterra in nearby Granada Hills. They observed Jesus Leyva, 29, of North Hills, sitting in the
driver’s seat, accompanied by Luis Alfaro, 26, of North Hills. Both men were “linked to a stolen
travel trailer parked nearby.” Detectives also observed Marco Henriquez, 37, of Granada Hills,
entering and exiting the trailer, removing additional stolen property.

Leyva was arrested after being observed riding one of the stolen electric bikes, while detectives
apprehended Alfaro and Henriquez as they exited the trailer. A search of the trailer led to the
discovery of stolen property connected to burglaries in Camarillo, Simi Valley, and Chatsworth.
Detectives determined that “the suspects conspired and committed multiple burglaries in
neighboring cities.”

All three suspects were transported to Ventura County Jail where Leyva was booked for burglary,
vehicle theft, receiving stolen property, and conspiracy while Alfaro and Henriquez were charged
with vehicle theft, receiving stolen property, and conspiracy. Henriquez, a wanted parolee
considered armed and dangerous, was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.

All three suspects remain in custody at the Ventura County Main Jail. Bail was set at $250,000
for Leyva and Alfaro, and $400,000 for Henriquez.
