Cloverdale Police Arrest Hit-and-Run Suspect

CLOVERDALE, CA

Officers with the Cloverdale Police Department have reportedly arrested a man in connection with a felony hit-and-run incident that occurred on Monday, Dec. 6, leaving two adults injured. One victim remains hospitalized.

In a press release, authorities identified the suspect as Brian Johansen, 49, of Cloverdale.

The collision, involving a dark-colored Ford pickup truck and a silver sedan, took place at the intersection of Healdsburg Avenue and South Franklin Street. The pickup truck was located and impounded as part of the investigation.

Investigators followed leads that led to a search warrant at Johansen’s residence, where he was apprehended.

Johansen was booked into the Sonoma County Adult Corrections facility on suspicion of felony hit-and-run, destroying or concealing evidence, and obstructing a police officer.
