KINGS COUNTY, Calif. — A Kings County man is in custody following an investigation that began earlier this year into allegations of child molestation.
In a press release, the Kings County Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect as 20-year-old Juan Zaragoza Bravo. So far, investigators have reportedly identified and interviewed four victims in connection with the case.
According to the sheriff’s office, the investigation began sometime earlier this year when the Lemoore Police Department notified them of the possible sexual abuse of a child that had occurred in their jurisdiction.
Authorities allege that Zaragoza Bravo targeted his victims on Instagram and initiated contact with them via direct message. From there, authorities say he would “build rapport” with his victims by offering drugs and paraphernalia, eventually escalating to sexually explicit messages despite knowing the victims were minors.
Authorities further allege that Zaragoza Bravo eventually coerced two of his victims into engaging in sexual acts with him.
On December 13, deputies carried out an arrest warrant at Zaragoza Bravo’s home. At that time, police say Zaragoza Bravo admitted to the allegations.
Zaragoza Bravo was later booked at the Kings County jail on six felony and three misdemeanor charges.
