Kern County Sheriff Gang Unit Reportedly Arrests Two on Weapon and Narcotics Charges
KERN COUNTY, Calif. — Kern County authorities recently arrested two individuals after allegedly finding a ghost gun, ammo, and narcotics during a traffic stop.
According to authorities, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Gang Suppression Unit pulled over a vehicle in the area of Oswell Street and Country Club Drive on Friday, Dec. 20.
Law enforcement identified the driver as 43-year-old David Arvisu, reportedly a known gang member, and allege that he had opened his door and discarded a Glock-style ghost gun and a magazine as he pulled over.
Arvisu allegedly briefly continued driving and eventually stopped in the area of Oswell and Bernard streets. At that point, authorities took him into custody.
Officers then searched the vehicle and discovered around 11 grams of suspected methamphetamine and one gram of suspected fentanyl, the sheriff’s office said.
Another occupant of the vehicle, identified as 29-year-old Elisa Magana, was also arrested.
Both were booked on drug-, weapon-, and gang-related charges, according to the sheriff’s office.
