Fairfield Police: Suspect Allegedly Dumped Paint on Car, Threatened Victim with Dagger

Fairfield police have reportedly arrested an individual for allegedly vandalizing a vehicle and threatening two people with a dagger.

According to a press release by the Fairfield Police Department, an individual contacted them just after 12 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1, to report that she had caught another individual pouring paint on her car and slashing her tires, and that the second had fled upon seeing the victim.

The victim was already acquainted with the suspect, and she and a friend went to to the suspect’s apartment to find out why she had vandalized the vehicle, police said.

When the suspect allegedly came out of their apartment wielding a dagger, the victim and her friend left and contacted police.

Officers responded to the apartment and arrested the suspect, identified as 59-year-old Crystal Perry. Officers reportedly also confiscated the dagger.

Perry was arrested on suspicion of vandalism and brandishing a weapon, police said.
