Madera County Woman Faces Murder Charge After Partner Dies in Alleged Domestic Violence Incident

A Madera County woman is in custody after an alleged domestic violence incident that resulted in the death of her partner.
In a press release, the Madera Police Department announced that they had arrested Fabiola Frias Sanchez, 24, in connection with the death of 35-year-old Victor Amaro.
The two were in a relationship and there was “a history of reported domestic violence incidents” between them, police said.
On the afternoon of December 27, officers received a call from a concerned individual who reported a couple fighting at a home on the 3500 block of South D Street. Responding officers discovered that Amaro had sustained life-threatening injuries in a suspected domestic violence incident and had him transported to an area medical center.
Amaro succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later.
Sanchez was arrested on suspicion of murder, assault with a deadly weapon or with force likely to produce great bodily injury, and inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant.
