Suspect Arrested for Burglary and Attempted Escape in Calexico

“On Thursday, December 26, 2024 at approximately 10:11 hours, South County Patrol Deputies responded to a report of a subject trespassing at a property near Cole Road and Kloke Road near Calexico, California. Upon arrival Deputies made contact with a male subject, who was later identified as Christian CORDERO-MOLINA. Upon further investigation CORDERO-MOLINA was found to be in possession of approximately $5,000.00 worth of marijuana merchandise from a local Calexico cannabis dispensary.

Further investigation was conducted during which it was found that 2 separate dispensaries had been victimized based on evidence located and recovered. CORDERO-MOLINA was arrested for being in violation of commercial burglary, possession of stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia and trespassing. Prior to being booked, CORDERO-MOLINA attempted to escape from custody. He was later booked into the Imperial County Jail.”
