Fresno police have arrested an individual for the alleged robbery of a local credit union back in November.

According to a press release by the Fresno Police Department, officers responded on Friday, Nov. 15, 2024, to the credit union on Tulare Street for a reported robbery. Police say that an unknown individual had entered the bank, approached the teller, claimed they were armed, and handed the teller a note demanding money.

The teller gave the suspect around $1,000 in small bills and the suspect left on a bicycle, police said. Officers were able to put out a description of the suspect based on surveillance video obtained from the bank and surrounding areas.

On January 5, an officer spotted an individual matching the suspect’s description. This individual was later positively identified as the suspect in the robbery, police said.

On January 7, officers arrested the individual in the area of Blackstone and Ashlan avenues. The suspect was booked at the Fresno County jail.
