Suspect Arrested in December 25 Fire at Abandoned InCahoots Dance Hall

“San Diego – A suspect has been identified and arrested for setting fire to the abandoned business formally known as “InCahoots.” In the morning hours of December 25, 2024, a man set fire to InCahoots Dance Hall and Saloon located at 5300 Mission Center Road.
The property has been abandoned for many years and was also set on fire on October 26, 2024. Both fires were considered suspicious and are being investigated by the San Diego Metro Arson Strike Team (MAST). While investigating the most recent fire, investigators identified 47-year-old Joel Humphrey as the suspect. On December 31, 2024, Humphrey was arrested for recklessly starting a fire to a structure for the December 25 th incident. Humphrey is not believed to be connected to the October fire. That incident is still under investigation.
