Kings County authorities have reportedly arrested a wanted gang member who had been on the run since November of last year.

According to the Kings County Sheriff’s Office, multiple search and arrest warrants were carried out on November 14, 2024, as part of Operation Royal Flush, a coordinated effort targeting Norteno gang members.

Jaime Aldaco, a wanted Norteno gang member, reportedly evaded arrest and had been on the run since.

On Wednesday, Jan. 15, investigators from the Kings County Major Crimes Task Force located Aldaco at a Walmart in Hanford. When investigators attempted to arrest him, Aldaco fled on foot.

He was apprehended after a brief pursuit, the sheriff’s office said.

While searching Aldaco, authorities allegedly discovered a loaded 9mm ghost handgun and several small zip lock bags containing a substance suspected to be cocaine.

Due to prior felony convictions, Aldaco is prohibited from possessing firearms and is under Kings County Post-Release Community Supervision, according to the sheriff’s office.

Aldaco was booked into the Kings County jail on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, felon in possession of ammunition, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance for sale, and possession of a controlled substance while armed.
