Two Stabbed in Roseville – Suspected Arrested

ROSEVILLE, CA  —  Placer County officials report they have a suspect in custody in relation to the stabbing death of a 64-year-old woman.

Alexander Howard, 35, is accused of stabbing his mother, Vivian Howard, to death and injuring another man.

The incident began on January 25 shortly before 8:30 a.m. officials received a call of a reported stabbing in the area of Preservation Street and Castleton Way in west Roseville. The suspect left the scene and was believed to have fled the county.

Vivian Howard was been pronounced dead. A second, an unidentified male, remains hospitalized in critical conditions.

The suspect was located later that day, with efforts from the Vacaville Police Department, and is in now in custody.
