Suspect Arrested in Connection with Fatal Stabbing Last Week, Vallejo Police Say

“On January 17, 2025, at approximately 2:18 p.m., the Vallejo Police Department Patrol Division responded to a call regarding a stabbing near the intersection of Lemon Street and Third Street.
Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male suffering from at least one stab wound. Officers immediately rendered medical aid until Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrived. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where, despite the efforts of medical staff, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The Vallejo Police Department’s Homicide Detectives responded to the scene and took over the investigation with the assistance of the Solano County District Attorney’s Bureau of Investigations. The investigation identified Maximillian Bentley Snyder, a 22-year-old male out of Kirkland, Washington, as the suspect in this homicide.
Based on evidence gathered during the investigation, the Vallejo Police Department Detectives Division obtained an arrest warrant for Snyder.
The Redding Police Department located Snyder in Redding, California, at approximately 1:00 a.m. on January 24, 2025. The Redding Police Department conducted a successful operation on the 1200 block of Churn Creek Road and apprehended Snyder without incident.
The Redding Police Department transferred custody of Snyder to the Vallejo Police Department, and he was subsequently booked into the Solano County Jail on murder charges.
