LIVE OAK, CA — On January 24, 2025, the Sutter County Sheriff’s Dispatch received a report of an assault with a firearm and criminal threats in Live Oak. Following an investigation, authorities identified 19-year-old Maximus Romo-Jimenez as the suspect. Based on the findings, law enforcement obtained a search and arrest warrant for Romo-Jimenez and his residence.
On January 27, 2025, deputies located Romo-Jimenez in the area of Highway 99 and Queens Avenue in Yuba City, where he was taken into custody without incident. Subsequently, a search warrant was executed at his residence in Live Oak. During the search, law enforcement recovered a firearm, firearm accessories, and narcotics.
Romo-Jimenez was booked into the Sutter County Jail on multiple charges, including assault with a firearm, criminal threats, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of ammunition by a felon, and possession of a controlled substance.
