Modesto Police Arrest Norteño Gang Members Following January Shooting
MODESTO, CA — “Investigators with the Modesto Police Department’s Street Gang Unit have arrested several known members of the Norteño criminal street gang following a shooting in early January.
The shooting occurred in early January 2025, when an adult male was targeted by several known gang members. Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident, in which multiple rounds from multiple firearms were fired into the victim’s vehicle.
The Street Gang Unit immediately launched an investigation, uncovering multiple other crimes, including a residential burglary in which several firearms were stolen by the same suspects involved in the shooting.
The weeks-long investigation culminated today with the simultaneous execution of several search and arrest warrants throughout Modesto and Turlock. With the assistance of the Modesto Police Department SWAT Team, the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s SWAT Team, the Ceres Police Department SWAT Team, and the Stanislaus County Probation Department, several suspects were arrested, and evidence was recovered.”
