Santa Rosa Police Arrest Two for Alleged Unlawful Weapon Possession

SANTA ROSA, CA — Two individuals have been arrested for the alleged possession of illegal firearms in Santa Rosa.
Santa Rosa police officers served a search warrant on the afternoon of Wednesday, Feb. 6, at a residence on Scott Street as part of an ongoing investigation into the alleged possession of illegal weapons, authorities said in a press release.
Officers from the Special Enforcement Team and Gang Crimes Detectives arrived at the residence just after 4 p.m. One individual briefly fled into the home before surrendering, according to police.
During the search, officers reportedly seized a loaded, stolen Glock 9mm handgun equipped with a 30-round magazine. Police say a second Glock 9mm handgun, which was unregistered, was also recovered.
Authorities arrested two individuals, identified as 21-year-old Oscar Ruiz-Flores and 19-year-old Rafael Ruiz-Flores, both of Santa Rosa.
Oscar Ruiz-Flores was reportedly booked on suspicion of resisting arrest, possession of an unregistered firearm, carrying a concealed firearm, and possession of a stolen firearm.
Rafael Ruiz-Flores was booked on suspicion of possession of a stolen firearm, police said.
