Madera County Woman Arrested on Suspicion of Attempted Murder

MADERA, CA — “On January 31, 2025, at approximately 5:45 PM, Madera PD Officers responded to the 2100 block of N. Schnoor Ave. regarding a report of a stabbing. As officers arrived on scene, they observed two adult females on the floor of the business. Officers contacted both females and quickly detained the suspect who was still in possession of a knife. The female victim sustained serious injuries during the altercation.
EMS arrived on scene and transported the female victim to the airport where she was airlifted to Community Reginal Medical Center in Fresno. The female suspect was transported to the Madera Police Department and is cooperating with the investigation. She will be booked at the Madera County Jail on attempted murder charges.
The names of neither the victim nor suspect will be released at this time. This was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing danger or threat to the public.
