Four Arrested, Two Sought in Connection with November 2024 Fatal Shooting in Fresno

FRESNO, CA — Fresno police detectives have reportedly arrested four individuals and continue to seek the identities of two others in connection with a fatal shooting back in November.
According to a press release by the Fresno Police Department, officers responded to the area of Pleasant Street and Fedora Avenue around 2 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2024, to investigate multiple reports of gunfire.
The city’s ShotSpotter system reportedly had detected three separate instances of gunfire, with multiple rounds fired each instance, near the 3600 block of North Pleasant St., police said.
Police then received a report that a shooting victim had been discovered in the area.
Officers arrived at the scene and reportedly discovered two victims. One of the victims, identified as 22-year-old Anthony Calderon, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The second victim, a 28-year-old man, was taken to an area medical center to be treated for gunshot wounds to his lower body. A third individual was also present when the shooting occurred but was not injured, police said.
According to police, the surviving victims stated that they had been standing outside an apartment complex when an unknown group of males approached them. At one point, for unknown reasons, a member of this second group allegedly started firing at the victims.
Homicide detectives have reportedly determined that six individuals were involved in the homicide. Four of the suspects have been identified as Uniese Brown, 20; Christopher Stanley, 19; Demarion Hackett, 20; and a 16-year-old juvenile.
Brown, Stanley, and Hackett were all arrested on Tuesday, Feb. 11, and booked at the Fresno County jail. The juvenile was booked at the Fresno County Juvenile Justice Center.
Two suspects remain outstanding, police said.
