COLUSA, CA. — Three individuals from Sacramento have been arrested in connection with two burglaries after a police pursuit in Colusa.
According to a press release by the Colusa Police Department, officers responded in the early morning hours of January 28 to a commercial burglary alarm on the 700 block of Fremont Street. As officers arrived, three suspects fled the scene in a white Dodge Hornet.
Officers pursued the vehicle until backup deployed a spike strip, bringing the suspect vehicle to a stop in the center median of Interstate 5 near Freshwater. The three suspects fled on foot but were apprehended a short distance from the vehicle, police said.
Police identified the suspects as Davon Owens, Frank Cason, and Romanie McKnight, all from Sacramento.
The suspects were booked into the Colusa County jail on charges related to the burglary and pursuit.
Later that morning, authorities identified the trio as suspects in another burglary at a nearby business. The suspects face additional charges as a result, police said.
