Youth Coach Arrested for Arranging Meeting with Minor

By F. Scott Faulkner

ARROYO GRANDE, CA  —  A 49-year-old man was recently arrested on suspicion of arranging to meet with minors for “lewd” purposes.

According to Arroyo Grande Police Department spokesman Detective A. Estrada, a
Ventura County investigation into Victor Fisher’s activities throughout the Central Coast led detectives to
information regarding his reputation as “a youth sports coach volunteer” in San Luis Obispo
County.

Additional evidence was then gathered by local police that determined Fisher was
actively involved in “arranging and meeting with a minor for lewd purposes.”
That evidence was compelling enough for the issuance of an arrest warrant.

Fisher was contacted by Arroyo Grande Police Department detectives just after noon on January 24 and
taken into custody. He was held on $25,000 bond.

The apprehension of Fisher involved the resources of multiple law enforcement agencies.
Both the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department and the Grover Beach Police Department
continue to collaboratively investigate the case and “urge anyone with relevant details” to call
the VCSD Anonymous Tip Line or the Arroyo Grande Police Department at (805) 473-5510.
