Suspect Arrested in Connection with Fatal Shooting in Montague

MONTAGUE, CA   —   The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office has reportedly arrested a woman in connection with a fatal shooting in Montague.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were dispatched around noon Saturday, Feb. 8, to the 5900 block of Jade Avenue following a report of a deceased individual. Upon arrival, a sheriff’s sergeant made contact with an individual identified as Robin Ray Turner, 61, outside her residence.

Turner allegedly informed law enforcement that she had shot Michael Richard Massey, 71. Deputies located Massey inside the residence with multiple gunshot wounds.

The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit responded and took over the investigation. Turner was arrested on suspicion of murder and booked into the Siskiyou County jail.
