THOUSAND OAKS, CA  —  Four men were arrested on the night of February 7th pursuant to the response by Ventura County Sheriff’s Department’s Patrol Division to the report of a residential burglary in the City of Thousand Oaks.

According to VCSD spokesman Detective Kevin Walters, Ventura County Sheriff’s 911 Dispatch received a call at 6:55 p.m. about “a burglary in progress” at a home in the Queens Way residential neighborhood. Within minutes, Thousand Oaks Patrol deputies arrived at the scene and apprehended four male suspects attempting to flee the area.

Detectives from the East County Investigations Bureau joined the case and determined the suspects were part of a “South American Theft Group Burglary Crew.” The suspects were identified as Aaron Diaz Mora, 20, Javier Vidal Navarrete, 28, Miguel Angel Munoz Ordonez, 22, and Sebastian Tonelly Chavarriga, 30. None of the men could provide a U.S. address as their place of residence. Additional evidence of their recent activities linked the men to another residential burglary in Thousand Oaks that occurred earlier the same evening.

All four suspects were booked into the Ventura County Jail on charges of residential burglary, conspiracy, and possession of a counterfeit government seal, with their bail set at $250,000 each. Detectives also determined Navarrete had outstanding felony burglary warrants in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
