Sutter Creek Police Department Reports Multiple Arrests in Busy Week

SUTTER CREEK, CA — The Sutter Creek Police Department had a busy week, making multiple arrests for driving under the influence, reckless driving, and an outstanding warrant. Officers responded to various incidents across town, emphasizing their commitment to public safety.
Early in the week, officers stopped a 53-year-old Discovery Bay resident during a routine traffic enforcement. Upon further investigation, they discovered the driver had an active warrant for fraud with a bail set at $100,000. She was arrested and booked into the Amador County Jail.
Several DUI arrests also took place throughout the week. In one incident, officers pulled over a vehicle at Ridge Road and Highway 49 for expired registration. The 62-year-old driver from Mokelumne Hill was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was subsequently booked into jail.
In another case, officers responded to a call about a physical altercation at a residence. The suspect had fled in a vehicle before officers arrived. A traffic stop was conducted, and the 52-year-old Sutter Creek resident was found to be driving under the influence. He was taken into custody with a blood alcohol level well over the legal limit.
Later in the week, officers heard a vehicle speeding recklessly through downtown. The driver, a 48-year-old Jackson resident, was stopped and found to be under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol level nearly double the legal limit. He was also driving on a suspended license and was booked into jail.
Sutter Creek Police continue to remind residents of the dangers of impaired driving and the importance of making responsible choices. Authorities urge the public to utilize alternative transportation options and report any suspicious or reckless behavior on the roads.
