Juvenile Suspect, 17, Arrested in Connection with Fatal October 2023 Shooting in Hollister

HOLLISTER, CA  —  A 17-year-old juvenile has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a Hollister resident, according to authorities.

Just before midnight on October 23, officers responded to a report of a shooting victim on the 1000 block of Monterey Street, according to a press release by the Hollister Police Department.

The victim, identified as 45-year-old Jacob Arballo, was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene.

On Thursday, Feb. 6, detectives arrested and booked the juvenile suspect into the San Benito County Youth Services Center on suspicion of murder.

Due to the suspect’s age, their name has not been released to the public.
