VAN NUYS, CA. — A Santa Monica man has been charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of his wife, according to the district attorney’s office.
In a press release, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced that they had charged 64-year-old Sean Farzan with the murder of his wife, Linda, 54.
Farzan is accused of fatally shooting Linda as she was leaving a “religious meeting” in Encino with their teenage son on Wednesday, Feb. 5. Farzan tried to flee the scene on foot but was quickly arrested, according to authorities.
He was formally charged on Monday, Feb. 10, with first-degree murder and felony child abuse.
If convicted as charged, Farzan faces life in prison without the possibility of parole. He has remained in custody without bail since his arrest.
According to the district attorney’s office, Farzan’s next court appearance is scheduled for today, Thursday, Feb. 20, in Van Nuys.
